The Institute of Plant Biochemistry

The institute serves as a haven for researchers dedicated to both basic and applied plant research, encompassing model, cultivated, and wild flora through multifaceted methodologies. As a revered scientific institution, it extends its arms to all disciples of science, endeavoring tirelessly to uphold exemplary scientific standards among the creative minds devoted to the betterment of humanity. Nurturing the nascent, meristematic intellects, it fosters their growth into well-rounded scientific individuals through a holistic developmental approach, shaping their destinies within the realms of science. 

PSSC is one the platforms which brings emerging scientifc researchers together especially PhD students to flourish their ideas and strengthen them to face off unforseen challenges in their respective disciplines of sciences. It is organized by the PhD students for themselves to disseminate their knowledge among their own community in an interactive and reciprocal environment.

How to get to Leibniz IPB

  • Reach Halle's main train station via Inter City, regional, or local trains. Take tram No. 4 (from the station's main exit) or No. 5 (from Ernst-Kamieth-Straße) towards "Kröllwitz" to the "Weinberg Campus" stop.

  • After getting off at "Weinberg Campus," cross "Heideallee" and "Weinbergweg," then turn left onto "Weinberg" street until you reach IPB.

  • Tram tickets are available in the Trams, at vending machines, or service offices.

  • Check HAVAG's website for timetables and ticket prices.
